California Privacy Notice

Your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act.

Effective 5 August 2026 · Applies to California residents only

The short version.

  • We treat introducing you to a funding partner as a “sale or share” under California law, because we are paid when a referral results in funding. You can opt out.
  • We run Google Analytics to measure advertising. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load it at all.
  • We do not collect Social Security numbers or dates of birth. There is no sensitive personal information to limit.
  • Opting out does not stop you applying, and never changes how you are treated.

Who this applies to

This notice applies to California residents and supplements our general privacy policy, which continues to apply. Where the two differ, this notice governs for California residents.

Fund Match Pros is a trade name of GrowthArmy LLC, 2226 Eastlake Ave E., Seattle, WA 98102. We are the business that determines why and how your information is handled.

California’s protections cover information about you as an individual, including information you give us in a business context. Because our service is for businesses, most of what we hold is about a company — but your name, email, phone number, and self-reported personal credit range are about you, and are covered.

What we collect, in California’s categories

California groups personal information into statutory categories. Here is everything we collect, mapped to them. We have not left a category out because it was inconvenient — the categories we do not collect are listed too, because that is the more useful information.

CategoryWhat we actually holdCollected?
IdentifiersFirst and last name, business name, email address, mobile number, state, and — if you choose to give them — business address, city, ZIP, and website. IP address and browser user agent, captured with your consent record.Yes
Commercial informationWhat funding amount you are seeking, what you intend to use it for, and the records of any introduction we make.Yes
Internet or network activityPages visited and whether you submitted a form, through Google Analytics. We record that a submission happened and which form — not your name, email, or phone number.Yes
Professional or employment informationYour business, its industry, monthly revenue band, and how long it has been trading. Your Employer Identification Number, if you choose to provide it.Yes
InferencesA revenue tier and a qualification result derived from the bands you give us. No profiling beyond that, and no automated decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect — a person decides whether to introduce you.Yes
Sensitive personal informationSocial Security number, driver’s licence, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, union membership, genetic or biometric data, health, sex life or sexual orientation, contents of your mail or messages, account log-in credentials. No
Personal credit informationWe ask which band your personal credit falls into. It is self-reported, we do not verify it, and we do not pull your credit. No credit report is obtained by us at any stage.Band only
Biometric, audio, visual, olfactoryNo
Education informationNo
Geolocation dataWe do not request device location. An IP address indicates only a rough region. No

We collect no sensitive personal information as California defines it. The right to limit its use therefore has nothing to operate on — there is nothing being used that you could restrict.

Where it comes from

Why we use it

Who we disclose it to

Funding partners. If you ask to be matched, we pass your enquiry to one or more third-party funding partners so they can evaluate it. Each then handles your information for its own purposes, under its own privacy policy, as an independent business. This is the disclosure that matters most, and it is the entire point of the service.

Service providers, who act only on our instructions and for no purpose of their own: our hosting and database providers, our email and SMS delivery providers, our customer relationship platform, our bot-protection provider, and Google for analytics and advertising measurement.

Where the law requires it, or where we reasonably need to establish or defend a legal claim, investigate fraud, or protect someone’s safety.

We have not disclosed personal information to anyone else in the preceding twelve months, and we do not disclose it to data brokers.

Sale and sharing — stated plainly

California defines a “sale” broadly: disclosing personal information to another business for monetary or other valuable consideration. “Sharing” covers disclosure for cross-context behavioural advertising.

We are paid by a funding partner when a referral results in funding. That is how the service costs you nothing, and we say so on every page. A funding partner then uses your information for its own purposes rather than merely on our instructions. We could argue that this is a service you asked us to perform rather than a sale. Instead, we treat it as a sale or share and give you the right to opt out — because the honest reading of a broad statute should not depend on how badly we want the answer to be no.

Our use of Google Analytics and Google advertising measurement may also constitute sharing, whatever our intent, so it is covered by the same opt-out.

We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 at all.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

There are two ways to opt out. Neither costs anything, neither requires an account, and neither affects your ability to apply.

1. Global Privacy Control — automatic, and the one we recommend. If your browser or an extension sends a GPC signal, we detect it and do not load analytics or advertising at all. There is nothing to click and nothing to trust us about: the request is never made. GPC is built into some browsers and available as an extension for others. We honour it as a valid opt-out request, as California requires.

2. Email us. Write to support@fundmatchpros.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share” and the email address or phone number you used. We will action it within 15 business days.

Opting out of the sale or share stops us passing your details to a funding partner for a new introduction. It cannot retrieve information a partner already holds — you would need to contact them directly, and we will tell you who they are and how to reach them.

Your rights

How to make a request

Email support@fundmatchpros.com, or write to GrowthArmy LLC, 2226 Eastlake Ave E., Seattle, WA 98102. Include the email address or phone number you gave us so we can find your records.

Verification. Before we hand over or delete anything we confirm the request really comes from you — normally by confirming you control the email address or phone number on the record. For a request to know specific pieces of information, we may ask for more. We are not asking to be difficult: handing your file to someone who is not you would be the worse failure.

Timing. We acknowledge within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days, extending once by a further 45 days where a request is genuinely complex — and we will tell you if that happens, and why. Opt-out requests are actioned within 15 business days.

Authorised agents. An agent may act for you with written permission signed by you; we may still contact you to confirm it.

There is no charge, and you may make requests twice in any twelve months.

How long we keep it

WhatKept for
Enquiry and contact records24 months, then deleted automatically
Uploaded documents, where applicable90 days, then deleted automatically
Security audit log12 months
Login sessions and verification codesDeleted on expiry

We keep information for no longer than is reasonably necessary for the purpose we collected it, and the periods above are enforced automatically rather than by anyone remembering.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when our practices change, and we will change the effective date at the top. If we begin collecting a new category of information, or disclosing it to a new kind of recipient, we will say so here rather than quietly widening a definition.

Contact
